Q. How do you select the organizations and partners you work with?
A. We either know each of the artisan groups we work with personally, or we have a direct connection to them through one of our mission or NGO partners. We look to partner with manufacturers that care well for their employees and work to bring about social, environmental and spiritual change. We require our manufacturing partners to pay fair wages, provide safe and healthy working conditions, and prohibit child and forced labor.

Q. Why is An Uncommon Way a business rather than a nonprofit?
We believe we can best improve lives through supporting and participating in a worldwide marketplace where sustainable and fair wage jobs are created. We believe producing a profit not only creates more growth for our manufacturing partners but also affords us more opportunities to support other partners.

Q. Do you ship An Uncommon Way products to customers overseas?
At this time, shipping of all products found at An Uncommon Way is limited to the United States.

Q. What is your return policy? 
We want you to adore your purchase from us, which is why we offer a 30-day return policy on clothing and apparel. You can take some time, try your purchase on, and make sure it fits properly.

All returned items must not be worn, washed, or altered in any way. You can find detailed information on our return/exchange policy here. If you have questions on color, size, fit, or anything else, please feel free to email us for additional help.

Q. Are your sizes true to fit?
Women’s T-Shirts: True to Size
Women’s Sweaters and Hoodies: Larger Than Standard
Men’s T-Shirts, Sweaters, and Hoodies: Smaller Than Standard

Please Note: Our sizing is not standard sizing. We highly recommend that men order a size larger than the normal, as men’s sizes tend to run small. For women, the unisex t-shirts are true to size, but hoodies can run larger, so keep that in mind when ordering.
